The Art of Piano studio calendar follows the example of university-based community music schools. The academic year is divided into fall and spring terms starting in August and January. A flexible summer session is also offered. If there are openings available, new students may begin lessons after the term has begun; their tuition will be prorated.

Each private lesson incudes an additional 30-minute or longer session in the student computer lab immediately after or before the lesson.

Lesson scheduling takes place on the Saturday before the beginning of each semester and the week before each summer session, based on students' preferences and teacher availability. Early registrations get first priority in selecting lesson time. However, exact lesson days and times will not be available until scheduling day.

Spring Semester 2010

Registration deadline*: Friday, January 8, 8p.m.

Spring semester beings: Monday, January 11

Spring Break: Monday-Friday, March 8-12

Semester ends: Friday, June 11

Number of weeks in term: 22
Number of lessons in term: 21

Pre-registration deadline for Fall 2010: Friday, May 28

Summer Session 2010

Registration deadline*: Sunday, June 6 (TAoP Spring Recital).

Summer Session beings: Monday, June 14

Semester ends: Friday, July 30

The Summer Sessions is 7 weeks long but very flexible. Students may sign up for any number of lessons, as their vacation/camp/activity schedules allow. Lessons can be scheduled once or twice a week or less frequently. If necessary, lesson days/times may vary week to week. Preferred teaching times will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings, afternoons and early evenings. However, if necessary, other lesson times may be arranged,
as well.

Fall Semester 2010
