The Art of Piano supports

the following organizations providing quality music/arts programs for the Springfield area:



The only radio station dedicated to providing classical and other quality music programs in our area, WUIS is "a member station of both National Public Radio and Public Radio International, also regularly broadcasts programs and specials from other sources. However, the station’s local information and music programming and statewide governmental news coverage have always been an integral part of its mission":

"A private, not-for-profit organization providing the only classical orchestral experience at the elementary and secondary levels in Sangamon County, . . . the Sangamon Area Youth Symphony was created . . . to keep a student orchestra program alive in this community. In the early 1970’s the Springfield area schools eliminated all school orchestra programs. Without intervention, a new generation of youth would have experienced a serious void in the arts":

"Since 1976 the Arts Council has been dedicated to developing and sustaining arts and culture initiatives in Springfield and surrounding communities, . . . quality events for your family, performance and exhibition opportunities for artists, services and resources for area arts organizations, performing artists in our schools, and arts programming funding for social service agencies. . . Enriching the community by promoting and supporting all art forms and providing creative opportunities to participate in and enjoy the arts":
